Incident type: Ute

Big ute on small road. Not helped by inattentive driver

A small work vehicle passed me on the wrong side through an intersection. The road widens to three lanes for about 200m and is notorious for drivers to try to race through to gain a couple of car lengths. The video was shown to the local police who issued the driver with a fine and demerit points.

Travelling North on Warwick Road, guy with a trailer turns left cutting me off. Lucky I saw the trailer out the corner of my eye.

Clearly indicating to turn left before he even started to pass me, but still overtook and then stopped in the lane to wait for me to then underpass. From the local police “no cirimal offence could be identified” so no action taken!

Ute driver reverses out of parking spot then just stops in middle of the road. We slowed down on our approach giving him plenty of time to get clear. Apparently the situation is our fault. He has a go at us for being on the road, suggesting we should be on the bike path. A few words are exchanged culminating with him inviting me back with a “come on then!” Invitation declined.

Heading in SE direction along Kenmore Rd a muppet in a ute decides to give me a close pass for no reason. Person works for Utilita, rego 682 WWC.

Empty lane to the right, this drive skimmed my elbow at 80 kph. The police sent them a letter.
That should have them taking their driving seriously!

Agressive and unnecessary close pass. Interesting quick conversation with the driver further down the road if you watch to the end of the clip.

Date and time on the video is incorrect (it’s a new camera and I’m still getting used to it). Riding safely in left lane on Nepean Hwy when it looks like the ute left it to the last minute to change lanes and only partially did so at that.
