Incident type: Bad road/path
Video of road hazards, potholes, obstacles, hazardous conditions and badly designed infrastructure. Not necessarily an accident or close call.
Deliberate close pass by an idiot on Mill Rd near Overtoun Park. On my way home from the Commonwealth Games Mountain Biking at Cathkin Braes. Not a friendly road to cycle on but with two lanes there’s no excuse for motorists not moving fully into the other lane.
Just a busy bridge to cross every morning.
Opal Blvd junction is dangerously marked/badly designed.
Motorists exiting Opal Blvd often block the path of bicycles travelling south along the highway shoulder forcing bicyclists to veer into 80km/hr traffic.
The give way line for Opal Blvd traffic located behind the path of bicycles travelling south – is missing.

A bike path along a 3 lane entrance to a freeway is obstructed by buses at a bus stop and one of the buses pulls out whilst being overtaken by a cyclist
Riders are advised to leave the bike lane before this intersection and use main travelling lane until they have passed this junction and then rejoin the bike lane. Due to poor design of the bike lane and lack of visual signalling (eg paint) its not totally clear to motorists that a bike lane runs across the intersection and that drivers should expect bicycle riders to ride across the path of vehicles waiting to turn.
I cut this video down, but the driver of the white Honda was patiently sitting behind me – there was a bit of traffic going the other way, so there really wasn’t an opportunity for them to overtake safely. The driver of the Forester was not so patient.
