Why give the bird?

Riding along in the bike lane and a guy pulls out of the trailer park, rides in the bike lane, give me the finger as he passes and then moves back into the bike lane. I'm assuming this person was pushed off a bike as a kid and that's why he doesn't like people on bikes.
