Very close pass while I was cycling at 35 km/hr on the road. The driver even reduced the space when we went by my side.

I report it every time to the police (usually Peel police), but some comments back from the police include "I would not ride a bicycle on that road" and "The driver is used to pass bicycles downtown, so the issue is you that is not used to be passed closely". Nevermind Highway Traffic act schedule 43 article 439.2 that requires drivers to give 1 m space to cyclists...
