Swarmed by motorcycles in a bicycle lane

This occurred during an organized motorcycle ride that was being escorted by police. The road was not closed and there was obviously a misunderstanding as the motorcycle riders and police believed the bicycle lane was part of the roadway. Here in Missouri, USA, it is illegal for motor vehicles to travel in the bicycle lane. Other laws broken include anti-harassment, passing a cyclist within 4 feet and traveling at speed on the shoulder of a roadway.

Police as well as the motorcycle dealership that hosted the ride have been contacted and are open to educating the public as well as the employees about the laws involving cyclists.
