Car approaches at speed (Limit is 40mph). You could hear him accelerating hard as
he left the 30mph limit. Passes still accelerating and within the 1.5m rule.
The Highway code states: leave at least 1.5 metres when overtaking cyclists at speeds of up to 30mph, and give them more space when overtaking at higher speeds.
