Overtaking group ride with oncoming traffic, causing a crash

Our group was overtaken by a vehicle with oncoming traffic. The vehicle pulled in sharply to avoid the oncoming car which made members of our group brake to avoid them. Due to the close proximity between the cyclists, two crashed into each other. Luckily both cyclists were ok however both bikes were damaged. The driver of the vehicle braked (as if to stop at incident) yet subsequently drove off.
