Many people will say 'Pfff! I laugh off closer passes than that every 10 minutes!' That's the point- this video is just to counter the common argument that things have improved since the UK Highway Code changed last year. There has been no improvement at all- drivers ignored the '1.5m' clearance previously and they're ignoring it just as often now. Clearance here is 50 cms at the most, 1/3 of the 'recommended', but most people with think it's OK. This is how poor close pass enforcement is in Lancashire and elsewhere in the UK. Most drivers here would think this is a good pass! I haven't bothered reporting this to Lancashire Constabulary, as it would be in the bin without even being looked at
