Despite the changes to the UK Highway Code taking effect 10 months ago, there is still a need to make more people aware of those changes.

Approaching a pedestrian refuge in the middle of the road I had two cars behind me. I was happy that the first would be able to overtake and get back to the left and leave me adequate space, but not the second. Despite my efforts to dissuade to driver from following the first car, by taking the primary position and even moving further right, the driver persisted with and had to cut in quickly to get in front.
