Very alarming close pass associated with illegal crossing of the double white line as is becoming increasingly common at this humped bridge. 2 seconds passes between the appearance of the Punto at my right shoulder and the irate blast of the horn by the female driver of oncoming black BMW J6 BCX. The only thing delaying a head-on collision at this bridge is the fact that there aren't many cyclists around here, so that simultaneous opposite-direction cyclists being illegally overtaken are improbable. Lancashire Constabulary refuses to take action over either the close passing or the unbroken white line offences and simply ignores the reports
