On my morning commute into work, a cyclist turned off the road onto the shared path on my side without slowing or giving way, and we both hit the breaks but still collided at slow speed.

This corner is often tight and you have to keep left for cyclists running wide and watch for walkers and cyclists going across your front from the right to go onto the road.

Rather than do what this guy did, most cyclists continue to use that side road and enter the path at the safer junction 20 yards further down, where I called out and turned right before the collision.
