Very narrow lane, always people walking and local cars, blind left hand bend.
Fortunately I often cycle this road, so I know the hazards. This time I could just
make out the sound of a car approaching up the hill, but I was not prepared for its speed and position - hard against the hedge on my side.
I braked hard, rear locked up, came to a halt, pulling in tight to the left. The car kept on coming without slowing down and finally moved right and passed without a collision. How we did not make contact I don't know.
The car just carried on despite my shout.
