Awkward junction for cyclists@Lime Square

The bus lane becomes a left-turn only lane which means as a cyclist you now have to move over to the right (unfamiliar as it was the first time I'd been here). If you go in the 'cycle area' you risk being in a trucks blind spot, if you don't you get close-passed on the left. Maybe the solution is to avoid the 'cycle area' entirely, block the left-turn lane completely and attempt the awkward merge further up?.
