Dangerous driver. Close pass. The driver overtook carelessly and there was no room to fit his big van. If I suddenly had to avoid a pothole etc and moved to my right he would have clipped me. Having this monstrosity appear to my right was intimidating. We were going in the same direction. I asked the driver why he did that. Very uneducated and he and his passenger thought I was in the middle of the road (middle of lane?) and they clearly didn’t like it despite the fact there was nowhere to go. Reported. Northants Police has had issues for the last few years with updating submitters with feedback. In the last two months, apparently they have changed this. They used to lie and say it was because of GDPR they could not update. Now (August 2021) they say ‘PROCESSED’ or ‘NFA’. I have said this is not good enough. In response to this after chasing two or three times, they said that the was ‘PROCESSED’. Was a letter educating him, a fine or points issued?! At least I now know action was taken.

Cycling along A361 when a van goes past waaaaaay too close…..Couldnt submit the video to police as they only accept it within 7 days of the incident – another lesson learnt!

A UK tow truck passed me here in Switzerland, I could see oncoming car and felt ok at first but he had a trailer. He started to pull in when he passed me but didn’t think of length of his trailer. Trailer missed me by inches (with braking and getting ready to bail). You can see the oncoming car a second after rear of trailer passes. Unfortunately no front camera – it is with Cycliq for repairs!!!
