Unfortunatelly this happens too often around here.

Near miss with a PA tagged truck.

Some asshole in a pickup (for some reason, it’s always a pick up truck) sped up to pass as close as possible when there was an entire lane open for traffic traveling in the same direction. He made an effort to buzz me as you can see in the video, the other lane was entirely empty.

This is an area designated as the Mississippi River Trail. Most Cars give some space, but this truck gave no quarter. This is a joint issue of both the truck and the political will. The Missouri Department of Transportation never put a paved shoulder on this road when they concreted it back in the 90’s and still haven’t even though it is part of a trail that on this section connects the main town to an outlying school.

A group of geezers on a club ride harassed by large pickup with train horn.

Driver intentionally passing within inches of cyclists in Marietta, Georgia, USA. Plenty of room to safely pass on the left, as seen by other cars passing. When confronted at stop light, driver accelerated and tried to hit group of cyclists again and said “you don’t belong on the road!”

With my lights on, both forward and aft, wearing high visibility yellow and cycling at ~22 mph I signal my intention to move from far right, into traffic to make a left hand turn at upcoming “T” intersection. A YRC Freight truck decides to cut me off from my intended left hand turn and comes within three feet of me. I signal again my intention to turn left, as truck is passing, and apply my horn — I turn and look back to be sure the next vehicle is slowing to let me safely get into left hand lane, which they did.

According to California Vehicle Code 21202 (a)(2), a cyclist has a right to enter traffic to make a left hand turn.

This truck is parked in a place where he is not even allowed to be.
