A man with this son trying to flag someone down without looking.

I approached this complex junction under green lights having come down the hill in wet weather. After I passed the green lights, I happened to see a pedestrian a the traffic island. He was looking down at his phone. Instead of coming to the edge and looking if it was safe to cross, he carried on, forcing me to take an evasive manoeuvre! If I had been a speeding car, he would not had much of a chance and would probably have had an accident. !

It was about 6:30pm with the low sun shining in my eyes. I was approaching the green light of the controlled pedestrian crossing when two runners suddenly appeared out of the sun and shadows, running diagonally across the crossing outside Milford School. They don’t appear to have looked and they couldn’t hear either due to wearing ear phones. Lucky for them I wasn’t driving a car and going faster.

Near miss with pedistrian

Pedestrian walked across bike lane between cars without looking.

Runner looks back, apparently doesn’t see me on the bike, and crosses the road right in front of me. I avoided her but it was a close call.

Riding down Mandeville Canyon (-4% grade) at 25mph (limit 30mph), staying safely in the middle of the lane to avoid the cars coming out of blind driveways, the cats & dogs, the wildlife, the broken glass, the dirty patches, the construction cones, the double-parked cars, the joggers, and this pedestrian about to cross in a blind turn.

This Chevy passed me on my left, but put this runner in danger in the process.
