Just a simple failure to to be heads-up on the bike path!

Private Alphington Grammar School deciding to use the public cycle path next to their own fenced off ovals for morning PT. They even placed marker cones on the path.
Guess they didn’t want to get their expensive shoes dirty!

One second later and there would have been a collision.
Even after using my bell twice before the blind corner, the pedestrians stayed on the wrong side of the path directly in my way.

Gentleman chose an unusual time to stop for a workout

If I had been up the road five seconds earlier there would have been a close call, two pedestrians with dogs were walking on the wrong side of the street, there was a sidewalk, but they chose to be in the street lolly gagging. With the broken pavement, and a pickup coming the other way it would have been an unnecessary close call.

Two bike lane invasions in quick succession. The first two women stepped in front of my bike without looking and then continued to walk in front. The second, a motorcycle uses the cycle lane and then exits.
The cycle lanes in Sao Paulo are largely unpoliced, infractors invading cycle lanes have no fear of incurring penalties. Until the prefeitura changes this policy cyclists will be in danger.

I approached this complex junction under green lights having come down the hill in wet weather. After I passed the green lights, I happened to see a pedestrian a the traffic island. He was looking down at his phone. Instead of coming to the edge and looking if it was safe to cross, he carried on, forcing me to take an evasive manoeuvre! If I had been a speeding car, he would not had much of a chance and would probably have had an accident. !

It was about 6:30pm with the low sun shining in my eyes. I was approaching the green light of the controlled pedestrian crossing when two runners suddenly appeared out of the sun and shadows, running diagonally across the crossing outside Milford School. They don’t appear to have looked and they couldn’t hear either due to wearing ear phones. Lucky for them I wasn’t driving a car and going faster.
