Incident type: Bad road/path

Video of road hazards, potholes, obstacles, hazardous conditions and badly designed infrastructure. Not necessarily an accident or close call.

Elevation Blvd has a gap in the bike network past the Aston Village Shopping Centre. Though, I doubt a painted bike lane would’ve prevented a driver just pulling out from a parking spot. Note also, on the path at the zebra crossing, there is a hand-made sign on a bollard warning drivers not to enter there (“No car entry”).

This cycle path has been a bit controversial. A vocal minority of locals dont like the barriers as they are ‘dangerous.’ Several cars have driven into them because the drivers are idiots. Clearly we need more barriers and signage as people still dont know or dont care that there is a cycle lane there.
