I was overtaken by a fast motorbike only to find he had crashed on a sharp right handed bend and been so lucky not to have hit the large tree. Thankfully he was not injured in anyway, only his pride. My friend and son-in-law helped him lift up the bike.

My routine ride home and around the bend, not too fast, opposing bike was headed in my lane did not even have time to brake or prevent him.

Expected all riders keep left especially at night when visual is bad but this wasn’t the case.

Driver was issued infringement for failure to give way.

The driver didn’t give way to me as I rode through the roundabout.  Luckily I just saw that he didn’t stop out of the corner of my eye and managed to swerve a little and brace for impact.

Remarkably, no broken bones from this incident.  Rear-wheel completely destroyed.  Bike getting scanned for damage.

The driver didn’t give way as I was riding through the roundabout.

Cut’s, bruises and a light concussion.  Bike frame needed to be repaired.

The driver pulled out without indicating or giving way and then turned right immediately.

Trip to the hospital in an Ambulance.  3 weeks later had surgery to have a plate inserted on the clavicle.

Bike damaged.  Driver charged by police thanks to this footage.

The video shows it all really. What it doesn’t show is the fact all the car occupants were intoxicated and smoking weed.

To make matters worse, as the car is registered in Ireland no action could be taken by either the Met Police or a solicitor.

Thankfully, only my front wheel needed replacing and I apart from a bit of bruising and a broken finger I was ok.

I now always leave lots of space when riding alongside parked cars.

Riding along Richmond Rd towards the M7 entrance and cat’s eye upset rider with a nice roll for effect.

Flying down Mount Osmond & unable to wipe off enough speed before the hair pin bend.
