Just one of a number of incidences that happened on a long ride to Dublin. Not a fast incident, but the car passed me at a proximity that couldve easily bumped me off the road, especially when you consider (which is hard to tell in the video) that I had touring panniers on and was a wide load.

Furthermore, while one point of view is that he had more of the road to overtake me on (ie there was no oncoming traffic in that moment and he could've fully went into the other lane), it is also worth noting that it is a solid white line on the road and there is very visibly a 'do not pass sign' in the video - this is not something i feel too strongly about, but if people overtake me on a solid line I expect it to be safe and respectful.

Definitely one where the incident looks far tamer in video than it did person, but i feel it needs to be uploaded nonetheless. In short, just very unecessarily bad driving that put me in a vulnerable position
