Talked to the driver, was not seeing the problem.

Yet another of the barrage of close-passing offences which result from Lancashire Constabulary’s opinion that if the vehicle didn’t hit the cyclist, the pass wasn’t close enough. I am reporting this, but there will be no response from the b******s. It’s the usual: the other lane is full of oncoming traffic, but the offender just carries on anyway secure in the knowledge that Lancashire Constabulary doesn’t care. They also don’t bother with large sections of road traffic law, such as the requirement for a valid MOT or insurance on the vehicle or, as in this case, the regulations about overhanging loads. The rear overhang is at least 1 metre and is probably over 2 metres. This load is definitely illegal, but that won’t stop LC from ignoring the report

The City of Oldsmar, FL, employee driving the City van, “Leisure Services” of all things, passed me without slowing down or moving over. In that area, the designated shoulder is not a bike lane, has various widths, and ends abruptly.
