Returning from a ride around Akuna Bay. Crazy man was encounter sitting in the middle of the road approaching Terrey Hills. Attempted to ride by but was almost shoved off the bike. Man later started throwing rocks at passing cyclists. Police were called.

At 8:55am this morning I was riding in the bike lane on Hill Road, Wentworth Point, in a Southerly direction towards Olympic Park and the white Toyota van, CX14MZ, was driving towards me and waiting in the turn lane to turn right into Baywater Drive. As I approached Baywater Drive, the van driver followed another car turning into Baywater Drive when he should have stopped and given way to me. I took evasive action, locking the brakes and steering into the middle of the road and only missed colliding with the van by millimetres.

My bike is bright green and I have a bright white flashing light on the front of the bike that is clearly visible in daylight. I also ride in an upright position to increase my visibility.

Person walking out to his car. Pretty sure he had seen me, he didn’t jump as I passed him, but he had still walked out into the bike lane with his head down. Lucky I had prepared for it and moved out (away from door zone too).
