While riding slow up hill a driver behind waits for a gap in traffic islands to pass safely.
The driver approaching further behind doesn’t want to wait & overtakes on the wrong side of the island almost colliding with the first car as it pulls out. The impatience driver now has nowhere to go as they are blocked on the wrong side of the road & has to pull back in behind the first driver, gaining nothing.

2 cars pass not leaving the required 1m gap

Big Rig Close Encounter

#AVN702 not giving a shit about fellow aussies, including one on a UCI registered women’s team… and the rest of us.

Couple of Skippys tried to take me down in the AM

While cycling in USA we had a close call with a semi riding into Bridgeport California

I was cycling between my patients in the evening- this guy was walking down the centre of the road and was difficult to avoid! He kept walking ntowards me.

Less than a mile from home, on a four lane surface street, a car approached in my lane with traffic in the left-hand lane. It approached so close, it filled my rear-view mirror on my glasses. The driver was waiting for the other traffic to clear before passing me, but I wish they had waited further behind me. I also had a rear-facing, blinking, daylight visible red LED light.

Scooter’s on the Roe Hwy bike path zipping past.
