Cycling during Sydney lockdown with one other, avoiding multiple potholes and possibly too close to the lane edge; bus driver not focused or focused on sending a message to me and my mate?

Cycling with one other, maybe too close to the lane boundary but no need for the bus to come so close.

TTC bus went by right next to me. Fortunately, I wasn’t going too fast and was able to control my bike.

Close bus

Cycling street is also applicable for busses and/or kids on bikes.

Bus never waited until safe to pass, passed and pulled in before their back end had passed me, luckily T junction so could move out the way

nearly sandwitched between 2 buses

This bus driver seems to think using his 9,000kg to enforce his opinion on an unprotected bike rider is perfectly OK, and has forgotten that bike riders are permitted users of any special purpose lane (including bus lanes) under NSW road rule 158(2)(c)(ii).

Incident has been reported and is currently under investigation by the State Transit Authority. Watch this space.

What’s your definition of irony?
Cutting back in before your vehicle has cleared the cyclist you’ve just overtaken?
Forcing the oncoming traffic to stop and wait for you to complete your unsafe overtake?
Probably aware that there are roadworks just around the corner?
Not actually making progress after all that because you’re stopping in a minute anyway?
