Surprise face to face with horse and walker after right turn. Slowed to walking speed, said “Hello” and moved to far side of roadway for safe passage.

Two big dogs came out of nowhere and sandwiched me like an Oreo. Not fun after a 40-mile ride!
On a recent morning’s ride. I sure wish people would keep their dogs secure. This could have ended very badly if wife had been riding with me, as she rides behind me and I’m sure this dog would have gotten her.
Saw the geese, saw them start walking, then they took off right in front of me. I think one tried to take out my back wheel, still need to check the spokes to make sure nothing got damaged.

While riding the Dirty Kitten Gravel race, we encoutered a herd of cattle running across the course.

I think it was actually a chipmunk, but I had to swerve a bit to avoid. Little critter and I both escaped unscathed.
Five of us flying downhill at about 50kmh only to have a family of six roos suddenly appear out of seemingly nowhere, two of which cross the road immediatley in our path. Lady luck was smiling on us today, not to have a impasct. Honestly, every animal in Australia is out to get you!
Loose dog runs out from behind parked cars, I could not see it until the last minute. I just closed my eyes and pulled the brakes and hoped for the best.
