This is a bad intersection of bike paths. People come out of a tunnel, blind. People also come up and down a busy cycle path on a hill past there. If you don't know the space, that could be a big problem. But even with that knowledge - to slow down and take it easy, it DOESN'T HELP when the person passing in front of you STOPS right in front of you when they hear a bike's brakes squeal.
