Nobody can now claim Lancashire Constabulary doesn't practice what it preaches: it preaches that close-passing cyclists is acceptable by refusing to take action against offenders. You can see that the police Peugeot 308 driver remains within the left hand lane throughout while overtaking me. There are oncoming vehicles until just before the police car passes me. The following silver Fiesta driver follows the police example, as drivers often do, and commits a lesser close pass-I have not reported that.
