ASR164 Close Pass and 1DG044 Must Get In Front

Riding on Lake Drive, Albert Park (Melbourne) and the bike lane ends, so I merged. Car behind me did a very close pass - the road is narrow and there's nowhere else to go as a cyclist - then immediately afterwards the white hatchback speeds out in front of me turning onto the main road from a side street. Zero interest in others' safety from either of these drivers.
