Cow and bull going crazy

While riding the Dirty Kitten Gravel race, we encoutered a herd of cattle running across the course.

…one must always anticipate with cows in the mountains.

The cow kicked down my partner from his bicycle and jumped over a metal barrier and then watched us while we tried to check for injuries and patch up the bicycle. Then she attacked again so we had to flee. She actually ran after us! Never seen such behavior from a cow before. There was no calf around either. My friend suffered bruises in his chest and some broken spokes and a smashed derailleur.
