Alarming close pass at about 45mph (in a 30 limit) along with illegal crossing of the unbroken white line by BMW driver who had committed a similar offence in exactly the same location 2 days previously. It took well over a year, and a court appearance was scheduled- a few weeks before this Lancashire Constabulary abandoned the prosecution. They claimed that the reason was that there was no rear-facing footage- they had invented a new Lancashire-only law where it's only an offence to be on the wrong side of an unbroken white line if you actually cross it. If you speed down the wrong side of the road completely, it's OK, apparently
