The driver followed me for a block which allowed hime time to see me riding my bike. As he and I approached the stop sign, he came within a foot of me as I yelled at him to remind the driver that I was right next to him. (In California, drivers are to give at least a three foot distance between his vehicle and bicyclists.) He just waved me off as he "gunned it" coming within a few inches of my front wheel.
