Clear exemple of how driving without paying attention can have serious consequences (in this case it was a delivery driver only looking at house numbers for his next drop and not paying attention at traffic) and how cyclists are so much more vulnerable without a metal shield around them. A good illustration that without a camera I would have been totally unable to claim against the driver as not impact occured and as it would have been his word against mine.

Ended up with 2 broken ribs, huge bruise on my hips (painful for weeks) and 2 months of physio for my shoulder. Driver initially apologetic and contacting emergency services quickly became far less cooperative when asked for his insurance details. He refused to pay for my bike (and clothes) damages when offered the next day and then also refused again to give me his insurance details claiming that as no impact occured he was not responsible. So had to go to the police to get it sorted.
For me: Various cuts and grases, huge bruise on my hip 2 broken ribs and very tender shoulder. 5 weeks of pain in my hip, 6 week of ribs pain, 2 month of physio for my shoulder.
For him: convicted of driving without due care and attention + points + fine (so impact on his insurance premium) then claim for costs and compensation against his insurance (so further hike in his insurance premium).
