Attempted hit with a door while commuting

I live way up north in Montana, USA so commuting in the dark and cold is pretty expected. I'm on my way to work the day after thanksgiving (I work night shifts) and a pick up truck flew past with the door open and a foot holding the door open. I'm pretty sure the driver swerved to keep the passenger from hitting me. If it hadn't been for a smart driver, I would have been clobbered. I don't have enough resolution in the night video to get plates so nothing will likely come from it. I am thankful to the driver for keeping me safe, even if his passenger was being a jerk.
