Incident type: Ute

Illegal and dangerous close pass followed by verbal abuse from driver of white Holden crewcab ute – SFI 058 at 12:20pm on 2 January 2021 near Werribee VIC.

Riding with a group on Hampton Street Toowoomba. Ute cuts corner to turn in front of us, we all had headlights on. We would have been travelling at about 35km/h.

Ute in right turn lane with indicator on for right turn suddenly decided he didn’t want to turn right and drove away with his right indicator still on

Small group ride, sunny quiet road, good visibility, our friend decided there was no need to give the required 1.5 metre distance when passing a bicycle, 0.5 is plenty.

Driver in a hurry went straight through a red light from a left turn only lane only to stop on the side of the road get out of his vehicle and run across the road might of been going to the gym
