Another driver BWB74L who can’t be trusted to drive responsibly/within the law i.e. give >1.5m.
Always change lanes to pass. Every vehicle/Rider. Every time.
Police refuse to respond to enquiries. I could touch the trailer as it passed.
Carefully headed round a busy roundabout, for whatever reason a pickup driver decides to give me a mouthful as he passes, I make an appropriate gesture, he pulls in front brakes suddenly. I’m not able nor wanting to stop so am forced to squeeze between the pickup and another van. He then chases after me, passes, more words, takes photographs, then runs me to the kerb at the next roundabout.
Helpfully the van has logos and a contact number, I called the owner of the business and he’s going to have words with the two employees in the pickup.
In 2016, North Carolina passed a new law for passing a bicycle on the road. The new law is in the statutes at N.C.G.S. 20-150(e).
(3) The driver of the faster moving vehicle either (i) provides a minimum of four feet between the faster moving vehicle and the slower moving vehicle or (ii) completely enters the left lane of the highway.
Driver passed with perhaps 3′ space but then pulled in with the trailer less than 1′ from the bicycle (even after evasive action was taken).
Pickup truck clearly shows the property maintenance firm’s name and phone number.

In South Australia it is legal to cross double lines when passing cyclists provided the road is clear. How do you become so aggro that you have try to intimidate riders when there is a clear road ahead and behind and the riders could not possibly have caused the driver any delay? This driver is a killer waiting to fulfill his ambition.
