This was my regular commute home but on this particular night I came across three snakes instead of the odd bandicoot or three.
I nearly ran over a little snake and it’s hard to see in the video but you can definitely see me swerve to avoid it at 18:19:54 (15 seconds into the video).
I was flagged down by another cyclist (no media release for him sorry) to avoid the 2nd snake at 18:21:43 (38 seconds in) and turned the other way briefly to flag another rider down with my headlight before turning back to wait for the snake to move off the path.
I stopped for a third snake at 18:31:05 (3 min 5 seconds into the video) and warned a following rider by waving but he still got a bit of a shock.

Attempted to upload yesterday, here it is again.

At 11:10.27 the snake can be seen falling from a high branch to the top right of the screen.
At 11:10.30 its on the road in front of me.

I tickled a snake by rolling right over the top of its belly and it seemed to jump in pleasure, or maybe a murderous rage. Seemed like it carried on slithering into the bush ok afterwards.

Came across this monster snake today

Near miss for a large gophersnake as the weekly race pack goes through. Vid slowed 50%, and then again to get a better glimpse.

I was riding along Gorge Road towards Athelstone, South Australia. If you look to the left you will see a large brown snake falling from a cutting, closely followed by a second brown snake.
May need to slow the video down to see the snakes clearly.

An Eastern Brown snake is sunning itself on the bitumen just past the white post on the inside of the white line just where I’m riding, came up too fast to swerve just lucky it didn’t strike.

Snake slithering across a road (00:30).

Snake on the commute home!

Snake across bike path during commute.
