During my Saturday morning ride along the Roe Highway PSP, opposite Whaleback Golf Course, I came across  a Tiger snake making it’s way back to the lake on the course.  Being almost in the middle of the path and knowing the snakes can easily rise up and strike when startled, I decided to give it way!

Fast moving snake, hit it with the back wheel.  One way to get the heart rate into the anaerobic zone.  🙂

Need to keep an eye out for snakes now that the weather is warming up.

Stopped the mountain bike ride to yield to the rattler….

Climbing the steepest part of Ridgeline, time out to avoid a rattle snake.

Close call with a nice, big turkey buzzard trying to enjoy his meal of a snake in the middle of the road. Sorry big fella.

Sticks aren’t supposed to move, right?

Out for a night ride near one of Sydney’s national parks and so was a brown snake crossing the road.
