Rear view of my accident on 4/9/21. Involving rumble strips.

Cyclist rings bell three times then yells before avoiding her and crashing. Woman flees the scene. When caught she will not talk to the police on the phone or provide contact info. Extensive road rash, bruises, $250 damage to bike.

Took me a year to put this together, and it still gives me the chills watching this footage.
Front wheel locks at almost 30mph. Knocked me unconscious for a good minute of so. Could have been way worse outcome though: only ear lac, and frame snapped 3 places, no broken bone.

cycling home through Gosforth some people walked out in front of me to cross the bike path. coming from behind a van i did not see them and they didn’t seem to look. while swerving to avoid them i hit a bollard and in the process broke and dislocated my ring finger on my left hand and scratched my face.

Slowed for a narrow part of the shared bike path, but not quite enough to avoid a head-on accident! Nobody, or equipment, harmed!
