Next to Southport pool pulling up at the lights the passenger of a pathfider decides to continue the rant he had been having over sundale bridge and past australia fair. Mind you he was the second lane across so I am not sure what problem he had with bike riders, but he had a problem…. Don’t do drugs kids….

Large otter comes out of flooded ditch onto roadway, then changes mind and returns to flooded ditch with loud splash

I missed him

I was riding the Tour Down Under course and encountered a turtle which made me wonder…. are cyclists more attuned to the environment? Some car drivers in their safe environment seem to show the same disdain for human life in the form of cyclists as they do for wildlife. Is there some psychological reason that makes them feel remote from anything outside their car? Is this something that could, in the form of education, help our cause? Just a thought…..
