1CIV014 dodges out of the right lane to avoid right-turning traffic but goes right across into the bike lane and clips me with their mirror.
Did they realize they hit me? Yes.
Did they stop? No.
They just took off and waved, I guess that fixes it all.

There was glare from the morning sun and the drive has approached the T-intersection, he had not seen the rider. The car continued to turn into the street, he has seen the rider and applied breaks immediately, however, the vehicle had collided with the rider.

Stopped at Intersection in shared use path with bike lane markings (green boxes with white arrows in crosswalk). Light turns green. Walk signal broken. Proceeded through intersection. Car hits left fork from side. Farmers insurance adjuster Amy Hodnik claims that the bike lane is in the roadway, which the markings in the intersection, google maps, screenshots from camera, and Austin’s Vision Zero page show the bike lane is part of a shared use lane and separate from the roadway.

Honda CRV driver had to get past me to then turn left Infront of me

Riding in front of a school on Saturday and approaching sudden narrowing for a cross walk so merged (well before anyone approached from behind) in order to ride straight into the narrrows.
After the incident, the driver pulled off-road and ran back to see if I was hurt, offering help, and saying “there wasn’t room for me to go around you”. I was mildly concussed and said something like “no worries, I’ll just keep going” (heard on the audio) Got back on and did about another 10k before realizing I wasn’t thinking clearly had hip pain (previous hip replacement) and had to stop.
When home I could barely walk… luckily no hip or pelvis fracs… just lots of road rash and a MIPS helmet write-off.
Local police took statement and my vids and screenshots and promised to get to the driver. I’d mentioned his quote, and that he had no front license plate (not legal in BC) Also mentioned that he hit me 5 seconds (40 meters at 26kmh) before the parking lane ended. We’ll see.

385CG2 In a hurry to run someone over getting thru the round about, 2 lanes to choose from, such a difficult decision. You will see on the rear camera view that his side mirror is out, whilst driving thru the roundabout, strikes my right elbow with his mirror. I almost loose control and the driver just drives away. In the front camera view you can see that the mirror has folded in against the window as they drive away.

At about 1:41pm on 28th September 2023 on Anglesea st while riding my e-bike heading south (towards Collingwood St) just south of Ward St, a car passed too close just missing the mirror on my bike, then swerved in towards me hitting my thigh a chancing blow on the pocket where the pocket with my keys is. Car can be heard revving its motor as it accelerated to catch me and ram me.
They then accelerated away heading south towards Collingwood St. Car was a red Toyota Astina number plate YJ4354

Clear exemple of how driving without paying attention can have serious consequences (in this case it was a delivery driver only looking at house numbers for his next drop and not paying attention at traffic) and how cyclists are so much more vulnerable without a metal shield around them. A good illustration that without a camera I would have been totally unable to claim against the driver as not impact occured and as it would have been his word against mine.

Ended up with 2 broken ribs, huge bruise on my hips (painful for weeks) and 2 months of physio for my shoulder. Driver initially apologetic and contacting emergency services quickly became far less cooperative when asked for his insurance details. He refused to pay for my bike (and clothes) damages when offered the next day and then also refused again to give me his insurance details claiming that as no impact occured he was not responsible. So had to go to the police to get it sorted.
For me: Various cuts and grases, huge bruise on my hip 2 broken ribs and very tender shoulder. 5 weeks of pain in my hip, 6 week of ribs pain, 2 month of physio for my shoulder.
For him: convicted of driving without due care and attention + points + fine (so impact on his insurance premium) then claim for costs and compensation against his insurance (so further hike in his insurance premium).
