With the proliferation of personal listening devices, situational awareness has taken the back seat. The pedestrian could care less that he was unaware of his surroundings, and on a shared use path, he was oblivious to other users. I yelled, "On your left," twice to no avail. In the end, I almost went off the concrete path.
