Uber driver not appreciating riding 2 abreast

My friend and I were riding 2 abreast on a relatively quiet main road. The Uber driver pulled in front of us then turned off the road, so we wondered if it was intentional, or just bad driving. Then a few hundred metres up the road he came back and shouted abuse out of his window at us before slowing in front of us. The police gave him a caution at the police station.
