Object thrown from car

The driver slowed down beside me and the passenger leaned out of the window and threw an object at me, hitting me in the lower back.
I scrolled through footage leading up to the incident and the car wasn't on any of it(I also have a front camera cycliq 12 sport) so it was a totally random attack on a cyclist.
It has been reported to the police as an assault and is ongoing but I'm bot confident that it is going to lead to anything.
