See, this is why in the UK we have double white solid lines down the centre of roads where there the forward view is poor and why it is illegal to overtake across solid white lines.

This PDS Direct lorry decided to overtake then realised there was an oncoming car and pulled in to less than 1m of the kerb, with my bike in the gap. If I'd not pulled in, my handlebars would have ended up in his wheel arch. As it was, they still came within 20cm of me. Way to close to encounter an 18 tonner.

That could have been very poor judgement. However, after I caught up when the lorry got stuck in traffic 200m later, I got a chance to complain about almost being taken me out only for the driver to then carry out a 'punishment pass' when he overtook me again.
