4WD pulls out of side street and stops at a red light. Passenger decides this is a good time to disembark without bothering to look behind for anyone approaching in the bike lane. I braked hard and copped a pointy bit of the door frame in my upper arm. Got a bruise but nothing worse. I call it a "crash" because we made contact. It would have hurt a lot more if I wasn't already slowing down for the red light. The driver could have pulled over into a nearby car park to do the drop off.
