Comes down to aggressive behaviourStraight road with clear visibility... 5 cars ahead can manage it with no oncoming traffic so this comes down to aggressive behaviour and whilst seems benign this behaviour is dangerous as leave no room should there be a pothole or other need to adjust path.
The highway is clear and whilst as cyclist we own our part there was absolutely no reason for this behaviour other than being reckless.
