This negligent driver came within a few inches of hitting my handlebars when there was plenty of room to give at least 3 feet of space. Van Ness Blvd is not wide enough to share the lane while also abiding by the 3 feet passing distance law, so I was in the middle of the lane as covered by CVC 21202: https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?lawCode=VEH&sectionNum=21202
I also have video of the Tesla pulling out from a private residence just a block or two from where this close call happened, which is not included in the published video but that I may provide to police.
