Ridiculously close pass, unnecessary anyway, but more so when there was space in the outside lane.

The driver admitted to knowing of the 1 metre rule in the SA Road Rules, shrugged - “I didn’t hit you”.

With any luck, (specifically reporting to police officer in a police service that cares about enforcing the rules) $433 in fines and 2 points should recalibrate him.
