Dog on leash but owner was distracting while cleaning up after the dog. It ran like a bullet at me as I came past and would have taken me down if the leash didn't stop him. In that type of situation it isn't unusual for the dog to pull the leash out of the walker's hand because they aren't expecting it. I got lucky. That would have been a trip to the hospital even if I didn't get bit.
