Pedestrian crosses bike path without looking

I was riding off the narrows bridge when a pedestrian was jogging to the left of the bike path, I slowed down to go around him, giving a wide birth, Then, he did not look behind him before changing directions, running across the bike path to the right, where I collided with him after screaming out a warning. I came off the bike over the handle bars in an attempt to stop prior to impact, he was very apologetic and helped me off the ground. I think he learnt to be much more aware of his surroundings.
